How StoriedLife Began
A quiet realisation
It began at a family dinner.
Rafi noticed his parents were present, but closed off. He knew they carried powerful stories, shaped by survival and resilience, yet connecting across generations felt increasingly difficult.
Traditional methods failed
Rafi tried to capture those stories with his father, a Holocaust survivor.
Written prompts, memory questions, and journaling all fell short. Writing felt heavy. The answers felt surface-level. The process didn’t honour the depth of his life.
Identifying the real gap
The issue wasn’t memory or willingness.
It was the format.
Stories aren’t meant to be filled in, they’re meant to be spoken, guided by listening, follow-up questions, and human connection.
StoriedLife was born
That idea became StoriedLife — a personal conversational biographer that helps people share their life stories and pass them on to the next generation.
